It's not Ultralight but it is light!
We have combined 43 years of pack making experience with the amazing ECOPak EPLX400 material that has been proven to be highly abrasion and UV resistant. Based on our most successful pack, the Overland 60 Ultralight, this pack weighs a total of 1.175kgs and is perfect for hikers with greater budget constraints.
Even better - the Overland 60 Light has just been updated! We have incorporated all the feedback we have received over the last 18 months and made the best ultralight hiking pack even better.
Key improvements include :
- New lighter, strong webbing that has superior handling and texture
- New side profile shape that makes the pack stand more upright when packing and distributes the load better across the hikers back.
- Upgraded side pockets with EPLX mudguards to better withstand harsh environments when the pocket is fully loaded and an Ultrastretch top half to keep the compression element and reduce the weight.
- Updated front pocket shape to ensure better closure
- New Z-buckles on the roll top, sternum strap and front pocket - that are easier to use and even more glove friendly
- Wider 15mm sternum strap that provides superior comfort and handling
- New 10mm accessory buckles inside the front pocket that can be used to attach an optional Whippa UL secure pouch.
All materials are waterproof and all of the seams have been taped sealed to deliver a weatherproof pack that will perform in varying weather conditions. The Overland 60 Light comes in a great range of colours and has all of the features required to ensure that it carries a load comfortably, including a fully moldable frame sheet, load lifters and easy to use pull-forward hip belt. All of these components work together to distribute the load to the right areas, greatly reducing fatigue and torsional strain.

How to Measure Back Length:
-
Locate the top of your hipbone (pelvic crest) on the side of your body. (Note: the pelvic crest slopes down at the front – but we are interested in the location of the highest point of your pelvis).
-
Approximate the top of your hipbone in your lumbar region, on your spine. Wrap the tape measure horizontally from the top of your hipbone to the spine to confirm this position if required. Make a note of this location.
-
Locate your C7 vertebrae. This is the highest bony protrusion on the back of your neck and is roughly in line with where your trapezius meets your neck. Make a note of this location.
-
Measure the length between your C7 vertebrae and the location you found on your lumbar spine in step 2.
