For Ultralight and Canyon Packs

Your torso length, not your back length, determines your pack size.

For 35-40L Packs:

Harness Size (Unisex)

Back Length

Small

Up to 43 cm

Medium

43-48 cm

Large

48 cm and above

For 45-90L Packs:

Harness Size (Unisex)

Back Length

Small

Up to 43 cm

Medium

43-51 cm

Large

51 cm and above

How to Measure Back Length:

  1. Locate the top of your hipbone (pelvic crest) on the side of your body. (Note: the pelvic crest slopes down at the front – but we are interested in the location of the highest point of your pelvis).

  2. Approximate the top of your hipbone in your lumbar region, on your spine. Wrap the tape measure horizontally from the top of your hipbone to the spine to confirm this position if required. Make a note of this location.

  3. Locate your C7 vertebrae. This is the highest bony protrusion on the back of your neck and is roughly in line with where your trapezius meets your neck. Make a note of this location.

  4. Measure the length between your C7 vertebrae and the location you found on your lumbar spine in step 2.

A Fantastic Pack

I purchased this pack in Katoomba 3 months ago in preparation for the Overland Track. After returning from Tassie, I can say this pack was worth every cent. While not quite as light as the 'ultralight' variant, the pack carried 14-15kg easily, kept my gear bone dry through days of heavy rain and attracted a few compliments from other gear-heads on the track. The large external pocket is the perfect size for accessible items, and the coyote colour not only blends in well on the track, but also resists staining unlike some of the typical white ultralight fabrics. Highly recommended.

Great value.

Great pack. Just took it out for a couple days of showshoeing and it was awesome. Had plenty of storage options for attaching shovel and snowshoes on the outside, the front pouch was awesome for storing my waterproofs and an extra layer to quickly swap in and out as the weather changed, and it carried 20ish kilo's really comfortably. I didn't notice how often I would have to adjust my other pack until I didn't have to at all with this pack. Worth the cost! There are cheaper packs but it was immediately obvious to me that this one justifies the higher price.
