The Colo 55 is the result of all of the feedback we have received from the Whippa community as well as a fruitful collaboration with Scott Williams of Scotty's Gone Walkabout fame. After spending a year using the Overland 60, Scotty came to us with some ideas for what would be his dream pack. A slightly smaller capacity, a few added features, some changes to the shape of the pack - he showed us exactly what works for him and we have gone and built it.

Since we first spoke with Scotty about designing him a pack, we have taken a lot of the feedback and ideas from this project and applied it across the Whippa range but this pack is the culmination of all of it and we think it is one of our best yet.

For Ultralight and Canyon Packs

Your torso length, not your back length, determines your pack size.

For 35-40L Packs:

Harness Size (Unisex)	Back Length
Small	Up to 43 cm
Medium	43-48 cm
Large	48 cm and above

For 45-90L Packs:

Harness Size (Unisex)	Back Length

How to Measure Back Length:

Locate the top of your hipbone (pelvic crest) on the side of your body. (Note: the pelvic crest slopes down at the front – but we are interested in the location of the highest point of your pelvis).
Approximate the top of your hipbone in your lumbar region, on your spine. Wrap the tape measure horizontally from the top of your hipbone to the spine to confirm this position if required. Make a note of this location.
Locate your C7 vertebrae. This is the highest bony protrusion on the back of your neck and is roughly in line with where your trapezius meets your neck. Make a note of this location.
Measure the length between your C7 vertebrae and the location you found on your lumbar spine in step 2.
