Alpine AP 70 Ultralight Mountaineering Pack

Description

Designed in partnership with Australia's most accomplished female mountaineer Allie Pepper, who is currently attempting to be the first woman to climb all 14 of the world's 8000m mountains to their true summits, without supplemental oxygen. The Alpine AP 70 is the ultimate mountaineering pack.

The pack has fully taped seams and weatherproof front stash pocket to keep your gear dry in all weather conditions. The Alpine AP 70 provides versatility in any terrain - easily attach the removable Expedition Hood when hauling gear and leave it behind when you go for the summit push. The pack comes with ice axe holders, glove friendly buckles and long compression straps to strap on a sleep mat.  The dual hipbelt pockets provide easy access to snacks and your mobile. For Ultralight and Canyon Packs

Your torso length, not your back length, determines your pack size.

Up to 43 cm

Medium

43-48 cm

Large

48 cm and above

For 45-90L Packs:

Harness Size (Unisex)

Back Length

Large

How to Measure Back Length:

  1. Locate the top of your hipbone (pelvic crest) on the side of your body. (Note: the pelvic crest slopes down at the front – but we are interested in the location of the highest point of your pelvis).

  2. Approximate the top of your hipbone in your lumbar region, on your spine. Wrap the tape measure horizontally from the top of your hipbone to the spine to confirm this position if required. Make a note of this location.

  3. Locate your C7 vertebrae. This is the highest bony protrusion on the back of your neck and is roughly in line with where your trapezius meets your neck. Make a note of this location.

  4. Measure the length between your C7 vertebrae and the location you found on your lumbar spine in step 2.
