The Wollemi 90 Ultralight Expedition Pack takes all we know from nearly 50 years of making and designing heavy packs for heavy loads and combines it with all we have learned from building ultralight packs. The result is an ultralight pack that can handle large loads up to 30kg with the comfort you expect from old school gear haulers. This makes it perfect for winter trips, packrafting, or long expeditions where having the space and support to carry significant weight comfortably matters.
Weighing just 1.16 kilograms, the Wollemi 90 is one of the lightest packs of its size on the market and best in class when you consider comfort and durability as well.
All materials used in the pack are waterproof and all of the seams have been tape sealed to deliver a weatherproof pack that will perform in varying weather conditions. The Wollemi 90 has all of the features required to ensure that it carries a load comfortably, including a purpose built alloy frame, load lifters, and easy to use pull-forward hip belt. All of these components work together to distribute the load to the right areas, greatly reducing fatigue and torsional strain.
The key load bearing features of this pack include:
- Larger area hip belt with greater padding for additional comfort
- Hip belt stabilisers that anchor the pack to the hipbelt to prevent sway when hiking over uneven ground.
- Enhanced frame and back padding
- Load lifters that reduce sway and also transfer the weight off your shoulders and onto your hips
- Design that keeps the centre of gravity close to your back
- 4 Side compression straps to compress the pack close to your body

How to Measure Back Length:
-
Locate the top of your hipbone (pelvic crest) on the side of your body. (Note: the pelvic crest slopes down at the front – but we are interested in the location of the highest point of your pelvis).
-
Approximate the top of your hipbone in your lumbar region, on your spine. Wrap the tape measure horizontally from the top of your hipbone to the spine to confirm this position if required. Make a note of this location.
-
Locate your C7 vertebrae. This is the highest bony protrusion on the back of your neck and is roughly in line with where your trapezius meets your neck. Make a note of this location.
-
Measure the length between your C7 vertebrae and the location you found on your lumbar spine in step 2.
