Based off best load carrying pack the Wollemi 90 - the Sherpa 90 has additional iceaxe holders, gear loops on the hip belt and longer compression straps on the side in the case you want to secure a sleeping mat such as the Exped Flexmat for the snow.
For its capacity the Sherpa is definitely ultralight but it does not sacrifice features that enable the pack to carry a decent load (e.g. 20-30kgs). The key load bearing features of this pack include:
- Larger area hip belt with greater padding for additional comfort
- Hip belt stabilisers that anchor the pack to the hipbelt to prevent sway when hiking over uneven ground.
- Enhanced frame sheet and back padding
- Load lifters that reduce sway and also transfer the weight off your shoulders and onto your hips
- Pack is designed to keep the centre of gravity close to your back
- 4 Side compression straps to compress the pack close to your body
The pack supports optional removeable hipbelts and also you can purchase the 10L Expedition Hood if required
